How the duty rota works in Tarragona

As in the rest of the province, the duty service in Tarragona city is organised by the Col·legi Oficial de Farmacèutics de Tarragona (COFT), which assigns a rotating shift among the town's pharmacies to guarantee 24 hour cover every day of the year.

The handover is at 9:00, not midnight: whoever is listed for a day covers from that morning until 9:00 the next. It matters more in Tarragona than elsewhere, because the COFT locator returns whoever is on duty at that exact moment rather than a calendar you can read day by day.
In the small hours, yesterday's shift still applies
Through the night the previous day's shift still holds. Check at 3:00 on a Tuesday and the pharmacy you get is Monday's; Tuesday's does not come on until 9:00.

Farmàcia Arqué is not on Tarragona's duty rota

We're a Salou pharmacy, not a Tarragona city one, and we're not in its duty calendar: that rota turns only among the city's own pharmacies. We share a professional body with them, the Tarragona pharmacists' association (COFT), but not a calendar. Coming from Tarragona, Salou is reached via the AP-7 at exit 35 or via the A-7, as Salou Town Hall sets out; we're at Passeig de Miramar 72, right on Ponent Beach, with free street parking around us. Within our own hours we speak Spanish, Catalan, English and French, no appointment needed.
